What is a Home Inspection?
A home inspection is a systematic, general, objective, visual
examination of the physical structure and systems of a home. An
inspection is analogous to getting a physical from the family
doctor. Also like the family doctor, if problems or symptoms are
found, our inspectors may recommend possible solutions and/or
further evaluation by other trained specialists.
Why should I get a Home Inspection?
A home purchase is probably the most important investment you will
ever make. It is very important for you to have a clear
understanding of the condition of the home prior to purchase.
Most buyers find it very difficult to remain objective about the
home they are about to purchase. The trained inspectors at B&T
Inspections, Inc. are able to objectively evaluate the home and to
put the overall condition of the home into proper perspective.
Your Inspection includes the following major systems:

· Interior windows, doors,
flooring, lighting, walls, ceilings.
· Kitchen appliances, cabinets,
counters, flooring, lighting,
ventilation.

· Exterior roof covering,
gutters &
downspouts, siding & trim, stoops,
porches, steps, walkways, driveways,
safety hazards, grading/drainage.
· Electrical safety hazards,
capacity
and overall condition,
recommendations on possible upgrades.
· Plumbing piping, fixtures,
flow, water heater, drains, unsafe
or unsanitary conditions, location of main valve.

seepage, cracks,
ventilation, insulation, structural problems.
· Heating & Air Conditioning

maintenance.
· Structural Integrity

interior & exterior walls, framing,
attic, foundation, settlement problems. |
When should I schedule the Home Inspection?
An inspection should be scheduled as soon as possible after the
purchase contract is signed. However, before you sign the purchase
contract, make sure to review the contract language regarding the
home inspection results.
